I'm listening. Please go on.

Shut up, you guys, and listen!

否定形は「言うことを聞かない (not to hear one's advice or suggestion; not to obey)」を指すことがある。

I've never understood why women love cats. Cats are independent, they don't listen, they don't come in when you call, they like to stay out all night, and when they're home they like to be left alone and sleep. In other words, every quality that women hate in a man, they love in a cat.

I won't listen.

Has anyone listened to the audiobook?

I bought it some years ago, but to be honest, I don't listen to it much.

After listening restlessly to a long and tedious sermon, a six-year-old boy asked his father what the preacher did the rest of the week.

When you are talking to your child or spouse, close your eyes and listen to them.

I'll listen to you speaking.

この種の言い回しは、おそらく、言葉を発すること以外で用いる listen to X doing (eg. listened to her humming.)

What do you listen for when someone is talking?

A boy puts his head on a railroad track to listen for a train.

For what listen?

They remained quiet, looking and listening for some time.

Don't tell me now! You never know who might be listening in!

Listen in again next week at this same time.

The National Security Agency illegally listens in on hundreds of thousands of phone calls in the US.
